Yo! Photo Dude! is your photography superhero! He has a secret identity but here’s a hint. Let’s call him “Rob”.
Rob got serious with photography in 1978 when he started taking photos for his high school yearbook his senior year. Getting published and hanging out with the cool kids while staying out of the limelight.
Being published was a huge rush so it only made sense that in college he continued his yearbook and newspaper photography experience. A good secret ID needs an undercover gig, so he hid his superhero identity behind that of a mild-mannered computer programmer. Setting up an undercover ID takes years to build.
In 1997, he found an opening to let the super hero back out and started taking photos for a small, community weekly newspaper on a small sub-tropical island that would pretty much publish anything he submitted. Mostly good clean news and sports stuff mind you, but it was a pretty risque tropical party town, so . . .
There was another calling for his services, this time it was in central North Carolina. It was a place where he could protect his secret ID and continue his quest to make people happy through photography — You know… that super power to freeze time (or steal souls if you’re of that belief).
He found a place to be published, but the big gig was making young sports players look like pro stars. Photographing people in motion was his thing. This migrated into wedding and portrait work. For several years, he didn’t have time for his secret life and his undercover ID was about to be… EXPOSED… So back into the “Shadows of IT” he went. He was much more select on who he worked with.
Time took him across the country with the opportunity to explore other places and living things (hint: Sea Lions are hilarious to work with!)
Beyond freezing time for people, (lions, and tigers, and bears as well), Yo! Photo Dude! loves to help other people learn the secret power of freezing time and sharing his 40+ years of wisdom is your gain.
